How do we explain the complete lack of research regarding this brand new vaccine and how in spite of this we are confident it is safe for our very vulnerable developing fetus'?

According to Dr. Fauci from NIH, with whom I spoke about this very issue prior to the broadcast, there are decades of research on influenza vaccines, and this one is being thoroughly studied. Reports I have heard about the research on this vaccine indicate that there are very few side effects. Other than the very rare Guillan-Barre syndrome and the risk to those with egg allergies, it is evident to me that the risks to mothers and babies and other family members is much greater from the virus than from the vaccine. Otherwise healthy pregnant moms are dying in higher proportions than the general public from the virus, usually from pneumonia. This is the most important statistic in my opinion, and reason enough to strongly recommend the vaccine to my patients.

I totally agree with you, that is why most obstetricians recommend that women are preparing for the design visit to the gynecologist to talk about everything from nutrition to genetic risk factors and healthy pregnancy. For women with chronic diseases such as psoriasis, before pregnancy is an ideal time to talk about treatments that are safe during pregnancy and lactation. Thank you for sharing this information.
